GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS!

Times are tough in good old blighty these days and doom and gloom is always in today’s media, so there is nothing like seeing dynamic change and directional moves to keep our interest. This local salon is definitely doing that to keep our attention!

At Craig Chapman Hair Design we have been carving a path in providing a second to none service and chasing national recognition for many years now, but down sizing to new, or should we say old premises, may seem like a step backwards...Or is it?

Formally on Southgate St, the team have moved to where we started in the White Hart Arcade to create a boutique salon with style and intrigue! The reasons for this are quite simple - to create an intimate and luxurious environment, whilst continuing to provide a first class service for all our local and loyal clientele, plus gaining the opportunity to expand in London.

Craig says “myself and the Hair Design Team have been striving to gain recognition and respect within the hairdressing industry for some time now. With recent success in national competitions the time seemed right to condense the salon and take up the offers from international companies and hairdressing icons, to progress the team as a whole into fields that we all strive for.”

“Its time for the Team to take the front line in the salon and for myself to dedicate more time developing and building connections across the UK, to cement a platform for us  to grow within our industry.”

Welcoming Lisa Blatchford to head up the Hair Design Team along side resident Reception Manager Diane Shute.

Lisa has had a colourful career to date. Having trained with Toni & Guy and Headmasters, she moved between the London head quarters, Weybridge, Bath and Plymouth branches developing her skills.

Lisa Blatchford has been with the Hair Design Team for 5 years now and in that time she has become the Regional winner of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards and been a finalist 4 times! Watch out for the finals this June to see if Lisa and Marcia Voyzey can bring home another trophy! Extending her knowledge as a technician, Lisa qualified with distinctions at the Wella Academy as a Colour Master to bring the highest quality  colouring techniques back to our home town. Lisa’s skills and vibrant personality has brought her to the front line of the team  helping them grow and develop their skills, whilst offering the latest on trend colouring to the client.

Diane Shute has been at the helm of the team for nearly 8 years now and is a welcome face to all clients at the salon. With her amazing organisation and communication skills, Di will over see the team to maintain their high standards, and continue to manage all of their clients’ needs.

And finally of course let’s not forget the rest of the Hair Design Team who have to be the most qualified stylists in the West Country. With 5 national competitions between them last year and winning the West Country Wedding Awards they are a force to be reckoned with! Being trained in services including hair extensions, afro styling and Brazilian blow-dries, their boundless skills keep them ahead of the competition. The Hair Design teams’ latest plan is to enter the British Hairdressing Awards Artist Team category and go head to head with some of the biggest names in hairdressing from across the UK.

With such diversity and drive, we maybe downsizing, but it will only grow stronger!
